Have a Blast with Fireworks in Paradise

Fireworks in Paradise by Kathi Daley is fast-paced and fun. It kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very end.

This is the eighth installment of the TJ Jensen Mystery Series. TJ has a lot to deal with in this book. The car accident that killed a beloved down judge also left her father in a coma. And it looks like it was no accident. Can TJ track down the truth?

Here are my reasons to read this book.

Family Comes First

Family comes first through the entire book in many heartwarming ways. From much of the family (including TJ) rushes back home when they hear of the accident, to the way TJ cares for her younger sisters, to how concerned everyone is when TJ’s dad is in the hospital. It is refreshing to see the family band together and be there for each other in good and bad times.

An Always Developing Protagonist

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, but it is clear that TJ is always evolving and growing as a character. She struggles with her feelings for Kyle in this book, as well as how to best be there for her family as her Dad is in the hospital. I also felt the relationship between TJ and her father’s fiancé who recently moved into the family home.

Edge of Your Seat Suspense

The twists and turns kept coming in this book. The ending will have you clinging to your book, anxiously turning pages to see what happens next.
