What is a cozy mystery?
A cozy mystery is a sub-genre of crime / mystery fiction. They are usually light reads where sex and violence are downplayed (yes, but they do usually involve a murder). The protagonist is usually female. She is usually some sort of small business owner / entrepreneur living in a quaint location. They are also a lot of fun and the best type of book ever (in my humble, non-official opinion).

The cozy mystery community is strong, loyal, and vibrant online. There are some wonderful websites, blogs, and social media pages devoted to this wonderful brand of books.
