Happy Release Day to Gone With the Twins

Today there is good reason to celebrate. It is the release day of March’s featured Cozy Experience Book, Gone with the Twins by Kylie Logan. In honor of this awesome book’s release, today we’re going to chat a little about the series and get pumped for this new installment.

The League of Literary Ladies Mystery Series was my first introduction to cozy mysteries. I was in the library a few years back looking for something to read. The Legend of Sleepy Harlow, with a cat sitting on a pumpkin gracing it’s cover, grabbed my attention. From then on, I was hooked on the series and cozy mysteries in general.

In this series Bea Cartright moves to South Bass, an island off Lake Erie looking for a fresh start. She has a run-in with several of her new neighbors that end with her going to court. Instead of community service, the small town police officer orders the four ladies in the dispute to join the library’s floundering book club for a year. This forms the League of Literary Ladies. A group of four friends, that although completely different, are there for each other and share a love for literature and their community.

The book that the League of Literary Ladies is currently reading is always a thread woven throughout the mystery. In Gone with the Twins, they are reading Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. And, like in the book, the friends face some drama of their own when celebrity twins open their own B&B on South Bass, creating competition for Bea and her inn. Then on top of that, a local real estate agent is found murdered and  Bea’s fellow “Literary Lady”, Chandra is one of the suspects. 

Can Bea and her pals clear Chandra’s name before it’s too late? Will Bea’s B&B be able to stay afloat with the new competition in town? For that and more, we’ll all be tuning in for this exciting read.
