The Emergency Dessert Squad. When I heard about this series and it’s first installment, Eclair and Present Danger, I knew I had to check it out. I mean a cozy mystery series that focuses around a woman who has a dessert delivery business? Yes, please! You do not know how many times I’ve wished I could get a french silk pie delivered to my door after a long, hard day.

Winnie Johnson is back for this second installment of the Emergency Dessert Squad Mystery Series. This time the heat is on when a student she is mentoring creates a dessert that seems to poison a fellow student. Now it is up to Winnie to save the reputation of her new business and get to the bottom of this mystery.

If the first book is any indication, I am sure Winnie is not only up to the task of solving the crime, but she’ll be sure to take us on an enjoying ride along the way. Winnie’s budding relationship with college professor, Jay Morgan is back in this book, so it will be fun to see where that relationship goes. I’m hopeful that Winnie’s entourage of elderly buddies will be back in full force as well.
