How To Create an Agatha Christie Inspired Easter Basket
Easter will be here before you know it. Do you have a mystery book lover in your life that would love a book themed Easter Basket this year? What about an Agatha Christie themed gift basket?
Below are some of our favorite tips to help you put together an unique one-of-a-kind gift that will sure to delight any mystery lover in your life.
The Basket
An appealing basket is a great place to begin. Think of this as the canvas for your project. Selecting a basket up front will allow you to know how much space you have to work with and also what colors you want to highlight. I also like to look for a basket that fits the personality of the person you are giving it to so they can use it again as decoration somewhere in their home.
The Books
Books. The fun part! And in an Agatha Christie themed basket, you have a ton of great material to choose from.
I would recommend adding a couple classics to your basket. Maybe one of two of your favorites and with a mix of Agatha’s famous sleuths. A couple of my favorites to include:
This is one of Christie’s most famous works. Ten strangers on an island. One by one they are murdered until no one is left.
Not only a great classic, but you are giving the gift of one of the most entertaining sleuths of all time, Hercule Poirot.
Tommy and Tuppence are two friends who set out as “sleuths for hire.” They are a hoot to follow and any of their stories would be a great addition to any basket.
The Extras
Novel Teas are neat. They are tea bags with tagged with literary quotes. The packaging is cute and great for your basket. Note: The tea bags are NOT individually wrapped, so you want to leave the package in tact and put it into the basket that way.
You can never have too many notebooks. Fun notebooks are abundant on Amazon. Customize to the person you are buying for to ensure they are getting a notebook they will love.
Finish your basket off with some sweet treats. Maybe a nice chocolate bunny in the spirit of the holiday?
