Life Beyond the Cozies – A Look Inside My World this Week
I decided to start the week off with something a little different today and have some fun. I always love the blog posts where the writer takes me behind the scenes and peels back the curtain as to what is going on in their “real world.”
I have no clue if it will be of interest to readers of A Cozy Experience, but I thought I would give it a try and see what you think!
My real world and my Cozy Experience world are very much one and the same. I am a virtual assistant by day and have been blessed that that work allows me to work flexible hours and be there for my kids. This is my crazy brood of boys excited because we found a library book sale the other day where you could get a whole bag of books for $1. We were all pretty pumped!
This weekend I did leave these adorable faces behind for a few days and my hubby and I had the opportunity to go away for the weekend for our 13th wedding anniversary. We spent a couple days in the quaint little town of Galena, IL reading, eating, and I even talked him into a ghost tour!
I was reading Bailey Cates, Potions and Pastries over the weekend and it was the perfect book to get me into the spirit of the ghost tour. I even treated myself to this adorable owl diffuser necklace I found in one of the Galena shops.
And now we start yet another week. It is hard to believe it is already November and Thanksgiving will be here next Thursday. I have some big plans to get a few lingering projects finished and spend some time on my 2018 planning. Fingers crossed I can get it all done!
In case you missed it, here are a few highlights from around the Cozy Experience world this past week:
- Book Review of Freshly Ground Murder by Tonya Kappes
- We’re reading & chatting Assaulted Caramel by Amanda Flower in the FB Book Club this month
- Want to Join Ellie Alexander’s new Reading & Baking VIP Circle? You have until Wednesday (11/15 to apply).
- Complete list of Upcoming Cozy Facebook Parties I’m hosting
Your boys are some cool kids. I love that they’re excited about their books! You’re definitely raising them right. And you are cute as a button, as is your owl diffuser necklace! 😀
This was fun to read! Thanks for sharing a behind-the-scenes blog with us. I envy you and your boys your $1 a bag book find! I love surprises like that.
