Murder in the Mystery Suite (Nov. 2016)

November 2016’s Box Featured Murder in the Mystery Suite by Ellery Adams.

We had a great Cozy Experience Facebook Party in the Facebook Group where Ellery Adams talked about her book, writing, and more with us.

For those of you who could not attend (or those of you, like me, who like to review things after the party again because the party goes so fast. Here is a recap of some of the insights Ellery shared.

Ellery told us a little about her inspiration for the Book Retreat Mystery Series. Starting with, the inspiration for Storyton Hall came from a real place – Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA (where her family goes back to visit every summer).

We also asked Ellery which of her protagonists she related to the most and why.

Oh, this is a tough one. I honestly have a bit of all three ladies. Like Ella Mae, I love to bake. Like Olivia, I love to write, live by the ocean, grew up with dogs, sailed, and swam like a fish. But Olivia says things that I’d never say because I care more about what people think of me than she does, which makes me more like Jane. And like Jane, I am a kick boxer and a red belt in Tae Kwon Do and if anyone ever tried to hurt my kids, they’d be very, very sorry.

We also opened it up to Ellery to answer questions from you all. A couple highlights were how she came up with all the shops in the books, what the best part of developing characters is, and how she outlines her books.

Thank you to everyone who ordered the November Box and participated in Facebook. A Cozy Experience exists because of you!
