Reasons to Read Cat Got Your Secrets

I should no longer be surprised how much I enjoy this series. The topics are not ones I overly identify with (cats and fashion), but it is so well written and fun that I just keep coming back for more.

Lacy Marie Crocker is running her dream business designing pet clothes and baking tasty pet treats in her hometown of New Orleans. Cat Got Your Secrets is the third installment of the Kitty Couture Mystery Series, Lacy is forced to defend her father’s honor when one of his friends is found dead – and her father happens to be the last person to see him alive.

This book is fun, fast paced, and keeps you guessing until the end. Here are my top reasons to read this book.

Evolving Characters

Even though each of these books can stand alone, if you are a fan of the series (or reading books in order), the characters are taking on interesting levels of depth as the series progresses. Lacy’s relationship is changing and developing with her mother, as well as the men in her life, which is engaging to read about.

Interesting Love Triangle

I won’t give away any spoilers, but the author does some interesting things with the love triangle Lacy is a part of in this book. I found it creative and it had a way of really drawing in my interest to see what will happen in future books.

Serious Issues Handled in a Delicate Way

Lacy’s struggle with getting out from under her pedigree has been a current that flows throughout all three books. I feel this book did a nice job at addressing that issue in a way that is unexpected and allows Lacy to stay true to herself in more ways than one.

Quick, fun, and a good time, this book is one you don’t want to miss.

Julie Chase has done it again. Another fun and entertaining installment of an enjoyable series. One for anyone who loves a good cozy mystery.
