This Isn’t Goodbye …

Some of you may have noticed I haven’t been around as much lately. I have wanted to write you all for awhile now and give you a little update on what is going on in my world.

2020 has brought a lot of changes for me. But they haven’t all been bad things. I started a full-time job in April. And I’ve really enjoyed it. Before I knew it, I was onboarding to a new job remotely and school was shut down and the kids were learning at home.

Learning how to submit homework electronically.

Summer came and went. And like everyone else we hunkered down and did our part to stay in and enjoy a summer at home.

Enjoying a nap outside on a nice day.

Then in August, our town was destroyed by a derecho (severe high wind storm). They entire city was left in shambles and we were all left in shocked to deal with the devastation it left behind.

We were without power and Internet for around a week. We lost a majority of our trees and sustained damage to our house and roof. We were lucky though compared to many in our city and surrounding area.

Three months later we are still dealing with insurance claims and trying to get as much fixed as we can before winter.

It was around this time that I made the hard decision not to take on any new Facebook Parties.

I thought I’d make it through a couple months and see how things were going. It is now November. I only have three Facebook Parties left on my schedule. While I miss my regular chats with so many fabulous authors and readers, I know taking a break is the right decision for me right now.

So what does this mean for you and A Cozy Experience?

Join us for my last three parties.

I have three parties on the books in November and December. I’d love it if you’d join us for one or all of these.

You’ll still find me on social media.

I’ll still be posting to the Cozy Experience social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) about what I’m reading and what is going on in my world and brining me joy.

Stay in touch!

I’d love for you all to stay in touch. I love the cozy community and I look forward to continuing to enjoy it as a reader.

Thank you all for continuing on this journey with me and allowing me to share a little of my personal story. I appreciate you all – you are a blessing in my life!

Wow. Life sure got messy in 2020. I feel, though, that I learned a lot of things about myself while dealing with the pandemic. I also realized that I need to make more room for, and take more time for, the things that being me simple joys.
I hope you are happy to be doing the things you have planned.
Best wishes!

It’s so important for us to juggle and rejuggle our priorities until they’re a good fit, especially now. This is the year we’re all taking a required course in learning to pivot and to let go of trying to control everything. It looks like you might have inadvertently signed up for the AP course, but that you’re handling it well. Thanks for all you do for cozy readers and writers! Love, Mary Feliz (and Maggie McDonald.)
