Tis the Season for Christmas Cozies
It is the season for holiday themed books and there are a lot of great books out this year. I wanted to share with you a few that I have read and my thought on them.
A Merry Murder by Kate Kingsbury
The colorful characters of the Pennyfoot hotel are back and I was so excited to see they are having another adventure (I thought the series had ended). It was fun to see where the author had taken each character since we saw them last. Where one character’s journey had taken them since the last book was particularly surprising to me. Overall a fun book. I hope the series will continue!
Have Yourself a Beary Little Murder by Meg Macy
Teddy bears and Christmas seem to go hand-in-hand. Christmas spirit is high at the Silver Bear Shop and Factory and Sasha and her family are hard at work fulfilling lots of holiday orders. But another murder hits their town. I enjoyed the imagery in this book. Sasha has a supportive family and it was fun to read about their relationships that are woven into the adventure.
Tonics and Turning Points by Astoria Wright
The final book in one of my favorite series is set during Christmastime. It is the seventh and final book in the Faerie Apothecary Mystery Series. I enjoyed the book and inhaled it in a single day, but I admit, I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet!
